A painting of my Dad, part IV: lightening things up

A painting of my Dad, part II: going digital with blocked out colors

I take a picture and upload it to Photoshop. There I play with the levels till it’s at least mostly black and white, after which I take the magic wand tool and remove most of said white. That’s how I get my final linework.

Turning that linework to multiply mode, I do some really quick color block outs, mostly just with the lasso tool.

Said colors.
